Watershed

If your water stops coming out of the tap or a shop, where can you get water to drink? We are advised not to drink from streams, rivers, ponds or lakes because it is not safe! So how do we know what is safe and why isn’t it safe?

This is Slow Activism: an experiential introduction to local water in unusual and sometimes unexpected ways. An eclectic creative exchange of information, ideas, questions, stories and experiences to reveal the wonder and importance of water and so to expose the dangers of our misuse and degradation of it.

Can walking, listening, networking, sharing flapjacks, celebrating and making art and ponds together lead to awareness and action?

This is always our hope.

Weekweek

Artists Charlotte Still and Clare Whistler have dedicated over a decade to raising the importance of water in everything and promoting a deeper connection and understanding between people and the water that gives us life. Together they follow an organic process of where being with and thinking about water leads. A water wandering: inquisitive, interactive, immersive, reflective, poetic, unexpected and flowing. Watershed is a branch of their ongoing collaborative practice.
